Oh here we go 3 days ago he is a hero now he is the villian again.

He may not be a wonderful signing but he already has 3 goals that I will remember forever.

Re: Yarmo
I'd like to see him fight or sprint now and again. I remember watching Trevor Brooking in a match back in the '80s when he chased back and made a goal-saving tackle: the crowd erupted because that was not the sort of thing he used to do. The difference though is that Yarmolenko in possession hardly does anything anyway.

Re: Yarmo
Did anyone really think that Yarmolenko had suddenly turned into a world beater? Leave off! The last couple of goals were brilliant in timing and importance, but he’s been poor in the main for us.

I see the real yarmalenko was back today.

Ie the lazy one

Re: Yarmo
Unfortunately he is just not very good at playing football.

Re: Yarmo
Yarmolenko is fucking dogshit. Look how many attacks break down at his feet.

As weak as piss. Why can't he just stand up and hold the ball, then lay it off?

He's 6ft3 and built like bricks, but blows around like a fucking dandelion in a hurricane.

Re: Yarmo
Let's be honest, he's been a crap signing.

One footed, weak as piss in the air despite being 6ft3, doesn't work particularly hard.

However, nice he's got those goals to help us along.

If we go on too win the cup then yarmos four years of wages will be worth the goal he scored and more

Re: Yarmo
I knew at some point the question about keeping him would come up.

The max we should offer him is one more year (that goes without saying) it would then have to be on vastly reduced wages. Even if this did happen I fancy he would fancy a move now anyway. Also depends of course on what we bring in over the summer.

In summary, I don't expect him to be here next season. And let's have it right, his 4 years have have been nothing short of a disaster, and on a huge wage too. As I said last week it's good for him, and us, that he will leave with some kind of legacy now, that looked very unlikely not too long ago.

Re: Yarmo

Thought the same. He was very nonchalant, almost kicked it back towards the keeper, rather fortuitous really. Still happy for him. I wouldn't keep him though, his wages are absurd for age and what he offers, he is too one dimensional trying to cut in on his left foot, need to move on to next level.

Re: Yarmo
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but to sign one of Ukrain's most prolific goal scorers when we are fighting relegation every season makes it a bit of a moot point.

Still, he's coming good finally at the very sharp end of the season.

Long live Yarmo and long live free Ukrainia.

Re: Yarmo
If he dropped 100k off his wage then maybe.

Re: Yarmo
Would anyone keep him on reduced terms? Let's face it, we're hardly going to go out and sign lots of players.

Re: Yarmo
It's weird he needs our support, but also space.

On previous matches (with Bowen) he slowed play down or was behind it when it suddenly broke.

Last two matches he's seemed majestic and peaceful, I hope it continues to work for him as well as us.

He almost fucked up that tap in

Re: Yarmo
I’m hoping for more performances like his cameos in the run-in but think we have to let him go. Never been totally suited to the Prem and it’d be a luxury, and sentimental, to keep him for next season.

Maybe Yarma's genuinely grateful for the way we've helped him and he decided on a reset after the Kidderrminster fiacso?

Re: Yarmo
The frustrating thing about Yarmo is that despite being poor for us he still did really when playing for the Ukraine. We seem to be finally seeing the international version of him playing in claret and blue now.

The general consensus was that he'd be off in the summer when his contract expires. How much does he have to do before the end of the season to be offered an extension with us?

Can’t believe After8 bounces back on here doing the job he’s involved in and treats him like a sex object…..

Re: Yarmo
He is like a new signing.
Impact sub of huge consequences.
I did have a feeling he might have a good influence. But it could of easily gone the other way. A late lunge on a Villa or Sevilla player wouldn't of surprised me.
Credit to Moyes,Yarmolenko and the backroom team.

However think he's not ready to start against Spurs.

Now all we require is the winner against Spurs after being a goal down. Bit like Leeds last night with Kane being sent off.

Greatly improved over the last two games, long may it continue. Good luck to him and his country!
